Sad.

But ironic. The video claims they are 'specialists' who concentrate one specific element. In many jobs in the US, roles are made as broad as they can be. And then management wonders why everybody can't know and do everything...

This documentary doesn't convince. Too many adjectives, too much agenda without substance.

I want to hear the women's point of view.

4. Can't say for sure, but here's an angle: following the what-all from the antics of Jack...
Abramoff & Tom Delay and what they sought, if you will, by way of labor restrictions foisted upon just the Marianna Islands, there may be repercussions for outsiders walking up to employee' asking them to start talking on the subject

After the camera crew flys home, they are left to continue to deal with the whims of their employers & supervisory personal, just a thought but sure...

It'd be nice to think they have the freedom to speak on such matters

5. Somehow they know the hours these women work,
the temperature of their workplace, that they're treated harshly and sometimes beaten, etc.

How? Someone must have told them--and their doc would be much more effective with interviews (even with concealed identities). Otherwise we have to accept their (obviously partial) word for it.

6. i see, so you're saying that mis-treatment at the hands of globalization...
...what? does not occur? it's fairly common knowledge that under-class workers are treated very poorly for very little compensation. as for temp? i would think that a film crew would have means by which to account for such things vis-a-vis even their equip requirements; beyond that there's little way to know the kinds of representations that were made to even gain access but you know i like the way you're thinking here afterall...

cause maybe i need me a job where i'm able to take a snoozy little 3-4hr nap right there at my work station without being fired, who needs health care maybe that's the real perc :thumbsup:

7. I betcha there are those in factories who PRETENDED to be from some
Human Rights group and got interviews in secret only to turn out to be FACTORY MANAGERS...so be warned workers...those who claim to be whom they are may not be whom they claim to be...YOU THINK THE RICH AND POWERFUL ARE IDIOTS?
