7. Cenk is right that the White House doesn't listen to the base.

The problem is the timing in the anger on the part of the Democratic base.

To have been constructive it should have best come months ago to have better influenced the White House. Now it is only going to push people to stay home. So maybe it would be better if we all cooled it instead of getting mad at Obama. What good is it going to do when he doesn't listen to us?

After all. We're "f*cking retards"......

8. The Liberal/Conservative spectrum is what is wrong
Edited on Mon Jul-26-10 11:10 PM by jae1227
When you phrase something either liberal or conservative you end of with this sort of logic. The right has RedState and the left has the major TV networks therefore it is fair. Maybe the editorial section of the NYT is liberal but not anything else. And the idea that what GE (soon to be Comcast), Disney, Time Warner, and Viacom puts on their TV networks is liberal is a joke. But its not conservative either so the conservatives think that it must be liberal.

10. K&R
Nice discussion. But Cenk was disarmed by the 'liberal media' remark. He started laughing. It is a natural response but we need this argument seriously torn down. Over the past week or so what I have witnessed on CBS, NBC and ABC have been especially egregious in their one-sided rhetoric on the deficit and jobs. So I was disappointed in Cenk in this regard. But I understand, the claim that the media is 'liberal' is enough to make anyone crack up.

12. K&R Lewis brought up Media Matters as if it was some kind of disinformation propaganda tool
Edited on Tue Jul-27-10 11:27 AM by Turborama
When in fact the exact opposite is true, all they do is put Faux news and other Republican propaganda functionaries' disinformation under the microscope.

The only issue I have with Media Matters is that they call what these reichwing lie machines spew "misinformation" (accidentally spreading untruths), when in actual fact it's disinformation (purposefully spreading lies).
