They don't seem to like women's rights much either.

6. You have to wonder how much mental energy it takes
to maintain her delusions in the face of evident reality. Happily, she and the rest of the idiots of her generation will soon be gone.

7. Illegitimate was the word that replaced
bastard when describing children born out of wedlock before this hateful woman was an adult. Someone should ask her what will happen to all those little bastards when "WE" stop supporting them. Personally, supporting the claimed 41% of children born out of wedlock costs me much, much less than supporting the the richest 1% of ass holes like Schlafly.

8. Phyllis hates it when...
Single mothers choose to remain single. Anti-family! Single mothers choose to carry their children to term. Parasites! Single mothers choose an abortion. Murderers! Phyllis is a whacko.

11. No, Phyllis - the CORPORATIONS want the Gov't.....
to bear the burden of helping people survive so they don't have to fork over wages and benefits sufficient for supporting a family.

12. And this isn't racist and sexist GOP "fear-mongering" . . .???
Unfortunately -- she got a lot of help in the 1970's on fighting the Equal Rights Amendment -- Both the Catholic Church and the Mormon Church financed an anti-ERA campaign with tax-exempt dollars! You see -- equality for females is anti-Catholic and Mormon values -- i.e., doesn't work well for male-supremacist religions!!

13. Good comment, defendandprotect
Her stance against Equal Rights was certainly among the most visible at the time. I looked her up on Wiki after reading your comments to find out more and one thing I didn't know about ERA is that she claimed it would have eliminated "dependent wife" benefits under Social Security. That would have scared a lot of women back in that time period.

15. I didn't know that either . . . wow --
though I do know that the GOP if they had their way would disconnect wives from their husband's benefits -- i.e., they would only ever have what they themselves earn. I think it's -- on death -- 50% of the husband's SS. Not positive about the figures exactly, but that's roughly what they want to do -- Don't think that too many know about the Church involvement in the campaign against ERA which was fierce -- I think more are aware now of the Church involvement in CA's Prop 8 -- I think? :)

16. Yes, and after disconnecting their SS benefits....
the GOP would probably start whining about unmarried women being on welfare. ;)
