Prosecutors in Sweden have said that they did not make a mistake when they issued an arrest warrant, which was later quickly withdrawn, for Julian Assange, the Wikileaks founder, on sexual abuse charges.

The country's prosecution authority has dropped raped charges against him, but a separate molestation accusation is still under investigation.

Assange, who has been criticised for leaking controversial documents on the US-led war in Afghanistan, told Al Jazeera that the accusations are part of a "smear campaign".

In an interview with Al Jazeera, Karin Rosander, from Sweden's prosecution authority, affirmed that no errors had been made in launching the charges against Assange.

5. 1 day - the prosecutor with one more day of information was the difference
one day

as if there was any doubt that you would wait one more day before filing an international warrant for someone

2. I wish our reporters in this country went after the truth like this one did
with the Spokeswoman.

Makes me think Someone's behind this trumped up charge.
