3. No, this is NOT who we are

There have always been abusers - horrible, hateful, sick people who torture and kill children, often their own. This is a horrendous crime, but it is NOT any indication of who the majority of American are. A blanket statement such as this is ridiculous.

over and over. There is very little that bothers me as much as child abuse. What an awful twist of fate these kids get - the ones most responsible for their protection are the ones abusing them.

I don't agree that this is what we've become, we've always been this way.
