Maybe Rachel "made him" sound nuts?

We only get a taste here, where he claims that in 1995 people were still not sure about the connection between HIV and AIDS. That's false, and he was actively questioning the death statistics attributed to AIDS based on his own faulty reasoning.

What you don't see in this interview is anything about his other crazy statements and activities, such as reprinting several volumes by an incredibly racist English author to use in his home-schooling materials. He would stand to profit greatly if his desire to abolish public schools ever comes to fruition. It won't, but guys like him do not help improve education at all.

Check out the Rachel Maddow interview with him if you can find it. He tried to say that quoting him directly was a smear, and that his (ludicrous) statements are not an issue. They are to me; I'd be in his district if he won, and I don't want some nutbag representing me.

Citizens for Tax Justice is dumping over $100K into misleading attack ads against one of the best Democrats in Congress. DeFazio went to the address on their mailer, and the quy who answered the door said he'd never heard of that organization (but was found to be lying).

She was directly quoting him, often directly from a publication HE printed. He is a liar and a wing-nut.

...and then ask themselves "is this really the guy I want representing me?"

He's a liar and like a typical wingnut wants to blame someone else for what he brought on himself.

As a street whore I guess he's cheap. At least he does not look like a crack whore.

He didn't want to say *anything* so he deflected everything she said and argued with her, taking both sides and not letting her get in a word edgewise.

It's what they do when they don't have anything constructive to say.
