1. They're the job creators ?
Then why did we end up in a recession with this practice going on for so long ?
Once again, the need to listen to these people. Those who vote for someone who
defends hiding and accepting money so they are beholden to corporations deserve
what they get when they're whining about making ends meet.

2. great
I like the card being played here. Since Citizen's United removed the contribution limits on electioneering communications for special-interest groups, Hurt is saying even though it's legal to take such funds, he would rather not, due to it undermining the democratic process with an out-sized voice. Particularly when the competitor has taken a large amount of money from special interests, as in this case, people are able to comprehend what happens when politicians take money from big business - they become nascar drivers, except with hidden sponsors.

3. Corporations aren't really the job creators.
Corporations look for ways to get rid of American jobs through outsourcing to countries with crappy wages and no legal protection for workers. The real job creators are the working and middle-class people who spend money in the economy and spur demand for goods and services.

6. That was great! Strong Democrat. I like that.
We just want disclosure at this point!

And yes, if a corporation has the human right to use its money to influence an election, I should have the human right to use my money to influence that corporation by making my own decision, based on how the corporation uses it money, whether to buy its products or use its services.

It is not right that a corporation has the right to use its money to influence corporations but that because I don't know to which causes that corporation gives its money, I cannot have the right to make my purchasing decisions based on the corporations' political affiliations.

In that vein, we switched to CREDO recently. CREDO supports causes that we believe in. By using CREDO's phone services, I am voting with my dollars. Thank you, CREDO for being forthright about your political activities.

I wish all corporations would be as open about their activities as CREDO is being, and I recommend CREDO to all who are looking for a good phone carrier.

I hope it's OK with DU if I post this.

7. I'm married to a nurse
The only time I'm scared is when I've really pissed her off.
