problem of FOX and Williams, yet they simply are AFRAID to speak out, and they let FEAR reign.
Seems like this was how so much of what Hitler said/did came to foment! UNLESS, and I seriously DOUBT that it's going to stop before it's too late, this country is headed down a very scary and wrong path.
"We The People" are but pawns and too many are drinking the Kool-Aid. Why do I feel this way? Well, something quite scary was told to me yesterday by my VERY OWN SISTER. Now, my sister isn't stupid, but she is a fundamentalist Christian and a Repuke, but what she told me on the phone yesterday simply floored me.
I rarely talk politics with her, she lives in Texas a thought Bush was "the Guy" and simply wonderful because he had the NERVE to protect this country. No amount of talking will sway her beliefs, she is the only one of 6 six women in my family who thinks this way. But after Obama was elected she made the comment, "well Obama is our President and I respect the office." So when she told me yesterday that she ACTUALLY DID think that Obama was the Anti-Christ and not a true citizen I had not entirely understood how pervasive this stuff had gone. My OWN sister, who I do love and CAN get along with and how is very good and kind to me, DOES ACTUALLY believe OBAMA is THE DEVIL! I can't find the words to explain exactly what I'm feeling, but it's awful. We had been talking about religion, not mine but the religion of one of our other sisters. She is a VERY, VERY devout Catholic and I on the other hand have simply walked away from religion completely. I make no bones about my decision but I NEVER push my feelings on them, and in turn they don't try to pull me back into the fold.
But she was conveying a conversation she had with my Catholic sister and was telling me that her comment actually left this sister speechless. All I could say to her was that I wasn't going to get in between he and my other sister but that in NO WAY have I ever though ANYONE living on this earth is the Anti-Christ. It's just not something I believe in, and that also I DID sincerely believe that Obama was a citizen and felt there was AMPLE evidence to prove it. She did persist saying that documents could be forged all the time! Not wanting to blow a gasket about this I simply said that "free speech" was something that was still allowed in this country, but for how long I wasn't sure. I simply said that if we weren't careful as a Nation that we will end up like a four letter word... ROME!
There was a little more said and we ended up talking about our yearly sister reunion we have each year, but I must tell you that I was TRULY SHOCKED to hear her say this. I guess you can say I've been given the look into what the future may look like if we don't soon get a handle on what is happening here in this country. I certainly have my problems with Obama and his laid back nature, but no... he's NO ANTI-CHRIST. And she has FOUR sons and many grandkids who ALL believe this way.
In fact, I was in Texas last year for our reunion and one of her sons actually said he thought I was "adopted!" I don't look like my other sisters, but I hardly believe that after my parents having FOUR daughters, that they would be willing to adopt yet another one. She's older than me, but I don't think that is really the problem, still it's hard for me to deal with this because I KNOW she loves her religion and believes this stuff with a passion.
Just thought I would make my comments, VERY SCARY!
