My real name is not important, but what I have to say in this video is: it does indeed get better, and we must never stop fighting for civil rights. No one, especially no one my age, should have to commit suicide because they're gay or perceived as being gay. The fact that it has happened repeatedly recently is nothing short of horrific.
Although I am not gay myself, I decided I've had enough of the homophobia that gays my age have to put up with every single frickin' day, and decided to make my own video, telling my young gay brethren the most important thing they can hear right now- it gets better, we will fight to make it better, and we will WIN!
My only regret in making this video is that I did not do it sooner.
Thank you for watching. Thank you for fighting for civil rights. Thank you for taking action, and if you haven't already, don't make the same mistake I almost did- not speaking out for what's right.
Americans unite.

1. Kudos. Why is equal so difficult to understand?
Here's a young man who already understands what tens of millions of americans have yet to absorb. The declaration of independence claims that all are created equal. There are not any provisos attached. It's not all but women. It's not all but minorities. It's not all but homosexuals, bisexuals or transsexuals. It's only when americans are ready to stand up and fight for everyone to have the same rights that we rise to the challenge set forth over 200 years ago. What about EQUAL is so hard to understand and accept? It's what america is about. Thank you for your excellent post!!

2. You're very welcome.
It's sad that certain Americans think that equality, life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness, the Constitution, inalienable rights, ect. apply only to them and people like them, but not to others.
We need to mature as a nation and make civil rights for all minorities the law of the land and remember- our Founding Fathers believed in majority rule, that is true, but they also believed it should be tempered by minority rights and protection.
Americans must unite on this so that we don't need another Martin Luther King, another civil rights struggle, and another Bull Connor to make us remember why we abandoned the idea of "separate but equal" a long time ago.
