4. Topped the greatest a couple days ago
which has become rare since the introduction of the separate video forum...
So DU agrees with you, even if picking the best of KO is a tough job.

For the showing of guts, he ranks up there with the Annual White House Correspondents' Diner Stephen Colbert performed at. Gonna wacth that AGAIN, it's the best ever imho together with Al Gore's speech on teh day MLK's wife died.

6. Great special comment
I, unfortunately, don't get cable television so can't watch Olberman often but his commentary is usually great. I wonder though, do you all think he would carry more weight if he gave his commentary without the emotion and more as a simple statement of facts? When the emotion starts to play in, then it can loose some credibility in people's eyes because it becomes simply a personal slam rather than a reasoned analysis of the situation. Anyway just throwing that out there.
Also, it seems as of late the momentum behind ending the War has been lost, where the hell did it go!!!? I fear it will take a major disaster in Iraq or another Walter Reed type story to reignite the engines behind the withdrawl movement in Congress.

11. "The marvel is, it came not until now-and it was foretold me." (Lord Byron Vol III)
It is of little surprise that this "player" in chief is "cheating" until the end of his time. We can only hope he does not cheat until the end of "our" time. It is with no doubt someones child's time is cut short due to his inability to grow up and get over what ever his problem is with his daddy. Today and yesterday, and the day after today, and the day after that until...)

14. the complete & utter bewilderment for me is
the congressional dems continue to cower & quake in fear of this lying, deceiving, rotten to the core, sorry ass excuse for a human being. Time's up - ALL of them need to go - w/ very, very few exceptions.

13. Question for regular KO viewers from the cable-free
Every "special comment" I've seen posted here is either about the Iraq war or how * has lied to America (in part about the Iraq war). Has KO ever done a "special comment" about our growing global environmental crisis which could devastate all life on earth? Or the health care crisis which leads to thousands of avoidable deaths and needless suffering in the US? Or the looming economic crisis caused by BushCo's reckless policies and the rise of corporate fascism in the US? Or the problems plaguing both teachers and students in our public schools, as well as the lack of affordable higher education? The Iraq War is an important issue, but it's far from being the ONLY critical issue.

BTW-if he has NOT given a special comment on the above, one wonders if the corporations in control would even allow him to continue having a voice in the MSM if he did?

16. Great question...
It seems that war takes center stage because that's all the Bush Cabal really cares about. The hell with giving them home field. I'm not belittling KO's and other war protesters efforts. I loved KO on ESPN and more now. However, corporate fascism/MIC, global warming, health care and the already horrid economic crisis facing the middle class in this country have to be addressed equally by this party.

18. The Iraq war was a political act in many ways, but the real "genius" of it
has been to quell all other discussions. Every issue takes a back seat to this War of Choice; it's worked brilliantly at allowing them to get away with the most horrific actions ever taken against Americans and the planet as a whole by any administration.
