1. That's all well and good...

But every time I hear Colonel Wilkerson or any other former administration official tell me what I already knew, I just have to wonder, if they really knew all this stuff when they were in the administration, why weren't they speaking out then? Why DID Colin Powell go to the UN with that awful speech if he had doubts? This all strikes me as rather disingenuous since I don't remember any of these people stepping up before the war to say: "Wait a minute, this just isn't true, and we should not be going to war."

2. Here is an early video of Wilkerson

Early on Wilkerson did know it was bogus but it would have been hard for him to have much impact on the debate since Powell gave the presentation and had such a trustworthy reputation around the world.

3. My thoughts as well

We talk about the bushies "having pictures" of people, or otherwise blackmailing people, or threatening families, but I've never been sure about how much of that I believed, and it still amazes me that the Chimp managed...hell, still manages...to cow so many people and make them betray their every moral instinct rather than disobey the shrub.
