No News of the Day, no Cons of the Day, no Palinisms of the day. None (well, almost none) of my usual BS. Today is deadly serious.
The Republican Party, powered and funded by Wall Street and foreign governments, driven by Fox News and the Tea Party, and egged on by the Radical Far-Right; has seized control of the House of Representatives, installing John Boehner, a puppet of Big Business, as Speaker of the House.
They are already breaking their promises to the American people almost immediately after being sworn in, begging for money from Corporate powers that control our nation with a tighter leash than ever before, and declaring war on President Obama, his Administration, and his liberal and Democratic supporters. They are betraying the people who supported them, donated to them, and voted for them as you read this sentence.
They are proving that they don't care about fixing the economy, creating jobs, or making America "strong" or "great" again. Their only real focus is the same as it was in 1995: limit the Democratic President to one term, any way they can.
Enough is enough. Liberals, Leftists, and Workers, prepare for the counter-attack, Operation Re-conquest, when the GOP fails us once more.
To the Republicans, especially to the new Speaker/Weeper of the House: fail to deliver, and you will be not only be removed in 2012 just like you removed the Democrats in 2012, you will be destroyed as a national party.
To the Democrats, especially President Obama- your enemies may have handed you a golden opportunity, do not blow it. Let the nation see the folly of letting these corrupt men and women rise to power.
To my viewers- we must do as I have been telling you all along: unite and rise, to defeat the far-right, so we can enact TRUE PROGRESSIVE REFORM. Prepare for the battle, it has already started. Are you with me?
