14. Once Again
Nothing from Obama on restoring the original constitutional human rights we were all granted by the founder's document.

Got to make the case Obama--but I forget, pleasing corporations and getting reelected is more important. Truth is, maybe it is, since one of the SC justices on the right is likely to either retire or die by 2016. Well, one can dream anyway.

7. I don't know how many read the bill,
or didn't read the bill, but I do know my own Congressman did read the bill. He held a town meeting at our nearby state college before the the vote to tell us why he would be voting NO. He went through the provisions one by one, and stated his astonishment about most of them.

5. I hope Americas go out
on the streets if the Patriot act is extended. We may need an Egyptian style revolt to get the bill finally repealed. Americans unite to protect whats left of our civil liberties.

11. Has Fox News finally found its conscience and...
decided to tell its misled, propaganda filled followers the truth?

Or maybe most of their well entertained lied to audience is starting to figure some things out on their own, like from other sources, as if miracles really can happen, and their turning off faux news altogether, starting with Fox News...

I can't help but to think about how truth can and is sometimes used as a pretense for something more sinister, and maybe the following is a subjective fairy tale, based on a solid premise of mistrust trust towards institutionalized propaganda organizations of which fox news is, in all likelihood, among the worst - if not the worst.

"Hey fellas we need to boost out ratings" bellowed Mr. Murdoch, "any suggestions?"
We could try telling the truth for once, about something, or anything." yelled the new journalist sitting in the back row.
Predictably, this was met with laughter which filled the room along with the voices of old timers, who have sold their soul, yammering "yea right...
" Oh Now wait a minute... The young man might have a point" replied Mr. Murdoch as he motioned the audience to calm down. "We haven't tried telling the truth before..., does anyone else think this would help boost our ratings?"
"Oh yes yes yelled a top share holder, and it might help inflame a large part of the ignorant masses..., such as the tea bagers, causing them to hate government even more. And maybe they will want to abolish it altogether and let the Corporations take over its functions. And with a little luck... who knows maybe the New world order will make Fox News the official source of public disinformation, and "We the Sheepeople" will have no one to thank but Fox News."

Moral of the story is that evil will use any tool at its disposal to commit evil, and truth, when spun into a pretense, can become an evil thing.

Why are they now telling the truth?

Without Fox News propagandizing for the Bush administration the patriot act could never have been renewed and probably could not have been passed in the first place.

Anyone who opposed the patriot when it was up for a vote was called un-patriot, un-American, communist and even fascist over and over again on Fox News.

Fox "news" staff are the ones who helped suppress the debate on the patriot act in the first place.

It is beyond hypocrisy for them to complain about there being no debate on the act.

Once there is Republican back in the white house Fox Noise will go back to calling the patriot act the best thing since sliced breed.

There is no point in listening to Fox EVER!

17. The people who watch FOX NEWS are so afraid
They want all AMERICANS to live in a Police state. When do the curfews begin for us? When do we all get issued mandatory ID cards? When do we get scanned and searched every where we go? When do we get to produce papers at the State borders? When does it become a law that all States install security cameras on every street? When will it be common place to see Law Enforcement troops carrying large and powerful weapons to guard our street corners? Its all coming to an American place near you!

18. A Foxbot criticizes Bush and the Patriot Act?
Will marvels never cease?

Quite a glaring indicator of how far Bush's stock has fallen with the right wing since he announced he wasn't going to shill for them. But the Patriot Act? I bet if I took an hour to search YouTube I could come up with at least two dozen clips of Fox commentators praising the Patriot Act- But I guess now that there's a moos-lem in the WHITE House they aren't so sure they like it anymore.
