Backstory for those not familiar with Star Trek: In the world of Star Trek, the Prime Directive is the guiding principle of the Federation. It states that there can be no interference with the internal development of other planets, under ANY circumstance. In this clip, the crew of the Enterprise debate whether or not to violate the prime directive in order to save a civilization from annihilation.

I think that this clip brings up alot of interesting points about foreign intervention, especially with what is going on in Egypt.

3. It's sad how many people don't understand Star Trek

People are automatically turned off when they hear "Star Trek" (it's for nerds!!!11!!!111!!). The world would truly be a more ethical, philosophical, and open minded place if everybody was forced to watch it.
