And, we are to now believe that these who started the war just passed on the lies of others?? I think NOT!
This stinks of revisionist history being dropped like news to provide cover for those who lied to start the wars.

===================
The 2003 invasion of Iraq was sanctioned largely because of claims the country had weapons of mass destruction.

The source of some of the alleged intelligence behind the claims was an Iraqi defector living in Germany, someone who has now admitted the evidence he submitted was false.

Al Jazeera's Barnaby Phillips reports.

You beat me to this one Lars!

2. With a no-fly zone in the north,
a no fly-zone in the south, satellite surveillance, the Kurds basically free, and the weapons inspections that occurred after the first Gulf War, Saddam was, for all intents and purposes, the Mayor of Baghdad. No way did he have WMD.

5. And he used them to murder innocent, civilian Kurds.
But that was back when he was "our" kind of dictator. You know, like Mubarak..

The murder of almost 200.000 Kurdish civilians is still largely ignored.
