I was lucky enough to be where the firefighters were marching inside the Capitol as they were in solidarity fighting against Scott Walker's union busting tactics and attacks on the working and middle class.

1. Inspiring. Walker wanted to exempt them...suppose that's still in the bill?

I suspect their removal from exemption is one of the few 'compromises' that will make it in.

2. my wife was just contacted by her asfcme union here in northern il.

the wisconsin asfcme to provide illinois asfcme union members with some bus seats. this really sucks because we really want to go but she can`t get off work. she has to put in 5 days in advance to get time off.

if we did`t elect a democratic governor we could be facing the same thing wisconsin is.we are fully aware that the struggle is just beginning...

4. Those Teabaggers and the Koch Brothers have no idea what they are doing.

A whole new generation of Democratic activists, of pro-union activists is being formed by that experience in Wisconsin.

These young people are experiencing democracy in action and learning what it means to stand up for something.

It is an experience you never forget. When I see them, I feel certain that we can build a new future based on rational policies and cooperation and mutual respect and not just blaming and torture and scapegoating others.
