Too many people today have no concept of conditions before unions or how hard the battles had to be fought. We are not talking walking picket lines while they are on strike, which is what people think when they think unions. It was beatings, torture, death, and yes, massacres.

4. There was another massacre...
Christmas time (?) there was a celebratory gathering in an upstairs meeting hall. The boss thugs locked the doors and lit the bulding afire. Anybody remember this? I almost positive there was a song about this, too.

6. I think Woodie sang a song about that one also. Hopefully other unions
will stand in for the teacher until the weekend. Students also. Keep the it going by taking shifts like they did in Egypt. And yes the tears are rolling.

5. Absolutely AWFUL! I cried listening to that story.
I say NEVER AGAIN. If the corporate media, Republican power brokers, and the out of touch tea partiers want us to relive the 1880s to the 1940s over again, I say NEVER AGAIN!

but it seems to a teabagegr, all they would get out of this is that liberals are violent and want to shoot people.

Selective hearing is rather endemic among them.

This reminds me of a hilarious I did with my local republican/teaparty political leaders. After debunking all of their conspiracy theories I confronted them about the President being born in America . It's a pretty funny youtube series. Fun With Tea-Bagging.
