1. I miss him as my Governor.
He actually has a good heart....and he grew up in extreme poverty and knows what its like to work for 'da man.'

2. Ohio voters expected Strickland to clean up his predecessors' mess in only 4 years.
The Republicans had controlled the governor's seat for 16 years before Strickland was elected governor, controlled the state House and Senate and held every elected cabinet position for 14 of those 16 years.

What do Ohio voters do? They turn the state back over to the party that created the mess in the first place.

Strickland was also a psychiatrist for a state maximum security prison and had to do a juggling act getting elected to Congress from a district that is very rural and conservative. He understands people, unlike his successor John Kasich, who has this "I'm getting mine, you go screw yourself" approach to everything. I felt Strickland's policies were moving Ohio in the right direction in economic development and education, but it was going to take some time to reverse what years of bad management and scandals had done.

I'm afraid that Ohio will get thrown back to the Stone Age by the time Kasich is done in 2014.

3. Strickland lost by only
2 points. And only 49.2% of the people voted. NE Ohio (Cleveland) did not get out the vote.

I think most of the nation is being thrown back to the Stone Age....we're a declining nation that can't crawl out from under the debt that was created by idiots. Pensions were not funded when economic times were good. Add to that the thieves on Wall Street and no one has retirement funds.

Watch as food and energy fly to the moon...we, too, could be another Egypt.

I refer to the former state of Ohio as Dumfukistan....except it may well be most of the nation.
