I'm right with you there. I will also do whatever I can to see that WE THE PEOPLE and the unions prevail.

You know this all started with Ronnie Rat, when he fired the Air Traffic Controllers, and now on his 100th birthday (I don't believe he was born, he crawled up from under a rock) they want to bust the unions, and give back everything that was fought for.

Well I have news for them, it will soon be the 100th anniversary of the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire. A fire which ignited union activism all over this country. Look it up. It happened right downtown in Manhattan, and helped spur the growth of the ILGWU.

We remember that, and we will fight so that the people with the money in this country do not exploit the workers, who provide them with the labor they need.

I was in a managerial position at the time (non-union) and all of my peers in the office were cheering about it. I told them they were crazy because of what I saw coming down the road. They looked at me like I was crazy but 4 or 5 years later when they began getting the ax through corporate downsizing, I reminded them of what the gipper had done with the air controllers. The morons still didn't get the connection. And thanks for the link about the fire - I'll check it out today.

I help to edit the calendar for the blog. There are many events listed from the ENTIRE Hudson Valley. From NYC to Saratoga, and beyond. We are here in the New Paltz area. The main guy was the editor for the Guardian US, back in the 80s.
