"...As a candidate for the presidency, Senator Barack Obama (D-IL) promised to march in picket lines with union workers should their rights to organize ever be challenged.

Now, they’re under fire, but the president is not in the streets. One Missouri worker who spoke to protesters on Saturday wanted to know: “Where are you, Mr. President? ..”

1. As he's shown in the past
Candidate Obama and President Obama...are not the same individual.

And with the situation in Libya he does currently have a full plate.

10. he had no problem going to ohio to talk to businessmen when
it was going on. He just doesn't give a damn. for whatever reasons he has, he doesn't find it in his personal political interests to go. why we can't just accept what we see, I will never know.

3. Obama doesn't care about unions unless we are
knocking on doors to support his elections. It's sad but clearly true.

6. Sounds that way. Actually, the proof is in the pudding. Maybe Obama should be reminded
of the demise of other presidents who chose bold, promissory words to suck in the electorate. AFTER they are elected, they turn around 180 degrees and never deliver the voters what they promised. Next time, STFU. Voters have a long memory Mr. President and in case you don't believe me, here is something to jog your memory.

Voters have looooong memories.

I'm ashamed to say I missed the rally in KC yesterday! I didn't know about it, and I should have taken the time to find out if there was one here.

11. That's Me in the Cheesehead
Now that I've revealed myself (thanks for posting by the way). My opinion on Obama; he should not go to Wisconsin. The reason being that it deflects from the protection of worker's right in the state, instead turning the debate into a simple, national diatribe of Democrats vs. Republicans. In Wisconsin it is not simply or about D's vs. R's. The state republicans have lost all the gains and inroads they have attained with union members in the state. I saw many a protest signs from unionists who had voted "R" for the last time. Drop in Obama and the right of collective bargaining gets lost in the rhetoric.
