2. The curse word caused the censorship
I don't agree with censoring bad language, but this is nevertheless more evidence that if people want to get their message across they should know how to behave civilized in the process.

On the other hand it might gain more exposure through YouTube now due to the censorship, and since many Republicans are against government interference in matters like these (Howard Stern fans) they might be more likely to hear it too.

The larger problem, I think, is that this kind of behavior may loose Democratic votes, similar to the way Democrats mistakenly attached themselves to so many rock bands during the 2000 election which just made them look silly in the process.

17. One of my favorite GWB stories - and there's just so many of them-
am I right. Ok, on with the story which the picture prompted. A reporter asked GWB after a fishing trip with GHWB just what they in fact had talked about; expecting the answer would be world hunger, world poverty, world something - and he answered, "pussy". Just think of the ramifcations of two Christian men here - they had to be talking (hopefully) about someone other than Babs and Laura. If they weren't , then I question their Christian bonafides and if it was Babs and Laura, then eeeeewwwwwwwwww, get me a towel - yuk!

7. Crawl back under your rock.
Nobody is fooled.

Maybe you missed the first part of the video which showed previous examples of Fox allowing that word to be transmitted.

Thanks for your concern.

12. Don't let him UNDER the rock! We need to stone that witch. I mean "person thinking differently"
PS, person thinking differently is of course code speak for "quasi-Nazi Karl Rove stooge". Ooops, I forgot to be clever and spell Karl with three Ks.

11. What bullshit! Don't you know opposition to the war went up right after...
we switched from calling him General Betray-us to General Betray-U.S.? Then when we start calling him General Ass-fuck-us, even more people started turning against the war. I think that shows a pretty clear cause and effect relationship between playground taunts and waking people up to the Christofascist Satanic Pigfuckers who hijacked the 2000 and 2004 and 2006 elections!

But the real problem is, are we showing enough immature scorn to really stop this war? Maybe we need to switch to calling him "Genital Ass-fuck-us-with-a-Bible" so that antiwar activity will become even more popular!

15. You'd have a point if Fox didn't air that word, like every night.

16. you're so wrong--it was that she was against the war...
If it had been just the word, they would've just bleeped the word (which, as this video shows, would've been inconsistent, but you can certainly make arguments about network vs. cable broadcasting standards).

Instead, they bleeped the entire sentence, showing that it wasn't the single curse word that they found "obscene" and needing of censorship, but the entire sentence and the sentiment it contained.

9. Censorship and hypocrisy!

Sally should have been allowed to say (for the TV audience as well as the live audience) anything she wanted.

Course, my objection is that the statement "Face it. If mothers ruled the world there would be no goddamn wars..." is simply without any basis in fact.

OF the recent women who were world leaders, Margaret Thatcher, Golda Meir, Indira Gandhi, none showed any more or less reluctance than their male counterparts to commit troops to wars and/or heavy handed police actions. Even the current leader of Germany has or had some troops fighting in Afghanistan.

10. But she didn't say "women."
She said "mothers." And I think, based on the context, she specifically meant mothers of soldiers.
