wal mart can sell so many other things to a customer who comes in for groceries that wal mart does not need to make a profit on the groceries. the net margin on groceries is 7% or so which is low, so it won't take much to crush some grocery stores. maybe even regional chains.

big box stores don't work well in manhattan because the customer either doesn't have a car or doesn't have a close place to park their car. we carry stuff around like ants and walmart is designed to sell you more stuff than you can carry.

2. Mal-Wart always crushes the existing merchants

with artificially low prices in the beginning, then once it runs off the competition, it more than makes up for it in the end.

Pure fucking evil, I will never shop there.
