5. Curious but not terribly relevent to me

I wouldn't vote for any republican. The divide between these conservative legs to me is only as useful as it can be used to divide Republican strategy and energy. I do not like the defense establishment or the Neo-con movement saddling up to the democratic party.

The worst use of this analysis is if democrats stupidly attempt to appeal to one of these segments.

Conservative is the most misused word in the American political lexicon. Barry Goldwater was a conservative. Jesse Helms was a right winger. Today's Republican party resembles Helms far more than Goldwater or even Reagan. These guys should dress in white sheets and burn a cross at their convention.
