Democrats hit Gingrich, GOP on Medicare

The Democratic National Committee is out with a scathing video this morning slamming Republicans, using a montage of clips focusing on the fallout from presidential hopeful Newt Gingrich's recent remark that a GOP plan to revamp Medicare is "right-wing social engineering."

"If there's one lesson we learned from the ferocity with which Republicans attacked their supposed 'ideas man' and the speed with which he caved, it's that dismantling Medicare is the new litmus test for any would-be Republican presidential nominee,"

The old folks are the mainstay of the conservanazis' FUX News. This ought to be good. The Democrats better being using this issue often.

Not Fox News themselves, I doubt they'd accept such a hard-hitting ad, and Fox News viewers are people who would vote Republican even if Gingrich were to show up at their door and punch them in the face repeatedly. But those tv stations that show old black and white shows from the 50s and 60s would be a prime target, as would the main broadcast networks (I don't want to give the impression that I think seniors only watch reruns of shows from their youth - I'm sure they watch the same comedies and dramas as everyone else).
