A sneak preview from Ry Cooder's new album "Pull Up Some Dust and Sit Down", out August 30th. I'll have to hit the record store that day - you can never go wrong with Mr. Cooder.

I have waited DECADES for this album and am honored to be the one to post this to DU...

1. Cool!
He is one of my all-time favorites. I first saw him live in 1966 on the Sunset Strip, when he was playing with Taj Mahal and the 'Rising Sons'.

I had the pleasure of taking him out to lunch at a Greek restaurant one day when I was stage managing one of his shows. That was in '76 when he had the Tex-Mex thing going on (with the great Flaco Jimenez. That was an amazing show!
