They were at the Las Vegas NetRoots last year too.

It was a non-denial denial that Andrew Breibart-

1) Was a Cocaine user

2) Slept with either Male or Female and possibly both types of prostitutes

3) Had a thug go after a Muslim woman like a dog after meat

4) Is a total DOUCHE BAG.

But, we figured that one out, based on what a fucking prostitute this asshole already is and how he willing to do the bidding for ANYONE, ANYTIME AND FOR ANY PRICE.

We Democrats admire & expect classiness, but having had 24/7 media coverage of the Republicans' underhandedness being presented as though it's NORMAL & SMART for the past 20 years, I find these have-a-dose-of-your-own-medicine moments VERY REFRESHING.

The power plays you are so 'sick' of is really just blow back against authoritarianism. Read John Dean's book on the authoritarian personality and it becomes obvious. There is no middle ground here so you better pick a side and if you don't like all the screaming then don't scream...but don't be dominated either. After all, we accept a lot of things we don't have to like.

I guess my real point was the truly amazing job the Power has done dividing us into huddled camps. Sides in politics can be a good thing, ambushing Breitbart with aggressive questions and a camera is just theater. Sure he deserves it, but I'm sick of the air of "triumph" over something like this like it's solved anything. The fringes get all the attention, that's the only reason his name is even known to any of us.

The "sides" would be more meaningful if they were at all organic. We've chosen our sides based on political leaders who don't give a crap about any of us. The Democrats in the senate and congress care about average Americans? Bullsh*t. Maybe Bernie Sanders, and that's why he's an Independent. So all we do is hunker down and do "left" things and feel like we're "making a difference," then roll our eyes over those "other" people doing "right" things that are truly destroying our country. It's the way the Power wants it...keep us at each others' throats while they steal as much as they can. Every single person in this country who earns less than $200,000 a year SHOULD be a registered Democrat. Why aren't they? Because they're either, A - too drunk on Jesus and conservative social issues to realize what's really going on or, B - they realize Democrats are just shills for big money, same as Republicans, and they'll vote for the lesser of two evils when the time comes.

Yes, watching Breitbart getting a taste of his own medicine was funny. But funny in kind of a sad way; sad that we even know who he is. Or care.

He's the poster child for the way we all get our knowledge now...from either one completely partisan side or the other. There is no truth in media anymore, it's only which side will help confirm your bias. Which channel will update your talking points for the next dinner party; or monster truck rally.

This could have been a lot better. As it was, the reporter made himself look juvenile and unprepared, and unable to admit his own shortcoming. As someone upthread said, not much better than Breitbart himself, who actually can't answer the initial accusation without that critical missing info.

All I'm saying is, you have to sink really low to make Breitbart look like the adult in the room, and somehow this guy managed it.

Yes, there's probably some there there with regard to coke and/or prostitutes. And I think both ACORN and Sherrod have legitimate greivances with Breitbart's lies and should have some legal recourse. I was even willing to believe Weiner was hacked based on Breitbart's track record and sleazy associations. So you don't need to insinuate that I'm somehow on Breitbart's side. I've been here for nine years and don't feel I should have to establish my own bona fides, for fuck's sake.

It is possible to hate Breitbart and all he stands for while simultaneously seeing this clip as childish and unprofessional. It's legitimate to ask who you're referring to when you're accused of associating with someone else, and if this reporter simply HAD THE NAME of the person, this would have come across a lot better. Even a simple "I'll get that to you, then will you respond?" — would have made all the difference. And shouting random accusations repeatedly while being unwilling to listen to their response, even if Breitbart deserves that treatment, is no way to win over anyone who is undecided or unfamiliar with Breitbart's M.O.

Watch the video and remember: THIS is how you deal with fascist bullies. THIS is what Beltway Democrats need to start doing. THIS is how you win arguments -- not by being polite, not by being deferential, not by opening yourself to being walked over.

There are so many great moments in the video, but teh one that sticks out is Breirbart whining about being shown the door because he didn't have credentials.

It warmed the little cockles of my progressive heart.
