I always find it amazing and sad that the other "Civilized Nations" of the world (they all have Universal Health Care), FEAR their Citizens. They know that the masses Will revolt when their governments and elite become too greedy.
Meanwhile, back in "the land of the free (lol)", our government has no fear of the masses. Through systemic propaganda, the highest incarceration rates in the world, and (what I call) Wedge issues, etc.., our masses may be starving, hopeless and totally without medical care, but they are CONTROLLED and DOCILE.
Look at the worst distribution of wealth in the world, the politicians who openly take "legal" bribes, the SCOTUS who openly take illegal bribes, the tax cuts for the wealthiest while unemployment and hunger are rampant....,yet here in America, we Fear our government, not the other way around.
This is OUR GOVERNMENT, we are not theirs.
RISE UP, educate the fools who are on a steady diet of propaganda. Now, even the propagandized masses know they are getting screwed. They may be told, by their tee vee, that they are the reason and Austerity is the solution, but even they are not buying it. My family has believed the corporate narrative for decades. They are finally listening to me less like a radical and more like someone who has taken the time to become informed. we have an opportunity because "they" have overreached, lets take it and follow the lead previously set by the civil rights movement. While this includes people of different races, different sexual orientations, etc.., it also includes the "average, normal (lol) Americans." Of course, the average American citizen will not fight for the rights of others (they should) but when their own lives are "on the line" they will be very tempted. It is up to us, lets get these people off their asses and in the streets where they, and we, belong.
