They simply do not understand Liberals "hate" people who use their fairy tales to hurt others, discriminate against others, force teens to kill themselves, control what women can do with their own bodies & their lives, etc.,

Saying that I hate god is no different than saying I hate Viracocha, Bumba, Vishnu, Fairies, Unicorns, Mermaids, Bigfoot & the Flying Spaghetti Monster!

To be honest...I actually love the Flying Spaghetti Monster :)

But then, the bible was written/composed by people who heard voices in their head. So it is not surprising their collective end work displayed such traits...

how when the conservatives try to make a point about something they always present the "liberals point of view" for them to argue against. And its never what liberals really believe...but its something they can win an arguement about....but when the democrats like thom hartmann present an arguement, they use facts and stuff the conservatives actually said or did. Like this guy for instance....saying liberals hate god...he presents no evidence...no quotes...no instances where anyone ever said that...but he feels he can argue against that to his audience and look good.

There are many liberals that believe in God. You may consider this belief a fairy tale, but others do not, and they are no less a liberal than you.

So don't speak for them. Just speak for youself.

Do you really think that highly of the Old Testament version of God that these fundie assholes believe so heartily in?

All the genocide and cruel and evil acts committed by a vindictive and capricious deity?

I don't think even most liberal Christians believe in that sort of God... at least they try very hard to down-play those parts of the Bible that don't paint such a pleasant picture of Christianity.

13. I thought I expressed myself very calmly
and rationally. Not "touchy" at all, just adamant. Belief in God does not equate to fundamentalism, and liberalism does not equate to atheism. I won't have people pretending, on my behalf, that either of the former necessitates either of the later.
