This woman should be our president or vice president.

1. She's right. If they are going to default on anything, a good
place to start would be the military budget. Then they might want to start looking for all the missing money the Pentagon seems to have lost.

Love Marcy Kaptur, she always tells the truth. She warned early on about the Mortgage crisis and about the scam it was. We need more like her in Congress.

12. Makes sense that job problems are also the result of Clinton's
biggest goof, support of NAFTA. Glad she stressed that point. NAFTA flung the door wide open for corporations to use cheap foreign labor to feather their nests cutting out jobs for US citizens.

15. It is a point that deserved stressing
But it wasn't a goof. It was a choice.

2. Go Marcy!
I wish she had more clout than she does, she has been one of the very best on financial issues.

5. It's a shame too, as she is the most senior woman in the House. I guess when you fight NAFTA and Big
Banks, you get nowhere. She deserves better.

6. She's 110% correct!
She's the first politician I've seen directly address our reckless (and feckless) trade policy as a problem resulting in lost jobs and, therefore, lost revenues. Any politician who says we don't have a revenue problem is probably (cough, cough, boner, cough) on the payroll (in some fashion) of at least 2 or 3 major corporations who have shipped American jobs overseas (and been handsomely rewarded with tax subsidies to do so).

If we truly want to fix the deficit problem in this country, we need to put Americans back to work! In order to do so, we need to renegotiate or end every so-called "free" trade agreement signed over the last 30 years, reinstate trade tariffs, and end all of the useless wars, and establish a new WPA to get Americans working again in good jobs in infrastructure and clean renewable energy. Sadly, however, to answer Rep. Kaptur's question...this Congress (and not just because of the Republicans but, sadly, because of a good number of Democrats also) will NEVER do any of those things and will, therefore, never address the root causes of this issue because they are whores by design!

9. Marcy Kaptur is wonderful and right on the issues.
Do you suppose she would be willing to challenge Obama in the primaries?

I remember her stance on the foreclosures. People would love her common sense. I think it could cut right through the Chamber of Commerce's phony advertising campaigns.

Read all about her.

10. I love that woman! She'd make an excellent President but
we already have a pretty good one, who seems to have lost his way.

Let's have her help him find his way again.

11. Ms.Kaptur is using common sense to explain our economic
woes. Every American would use the same common sense formula, 2+2= truth. It doesn't take a genius to figure out where the fault lies.
