Thanks for posting. I hope the President will just re-televise himself borrowing Kerry's speech ver batum. There are just too many people (such as where I work) that are clueless as to what the Republicons are doing.

apparently, corporate media prefers to mischaracterize those who speak the truth a helluva lot more eloquently than they care to admit.

I instinctively don't like the idea of a Super-Congress or Gang of Six making all or nothing decisions behind closed doors.

That happened with the health care bill, and the result was not nearly as good as it could have been. The House bill was by far superior to what we got out of that kind of sneaky process.

Again here, I, as a citizen, would like to see a much more transparent approach.

Boehner is recommending draconian cuts to Social Security, Medicaid and Medicare. Americans should be told just what those cuts would mean.

I think a log of Tea-Baggers would be outraged if they knew what the people they elected to Congress are recommending.

We need a lot more openness.

Kerry's speech reveals a lot more about the process than other things I have heard. But the whole thing is still far to murky.

Nothing should be decided behind closed doors. The Senate and House need to learn new ways to work that are more in tune with the information age.

We voters want to know what our members of Congress as individuals are saying.

Please no super-committee or super-Congress or meetings behind closed doors. It's too easy for members of Congress to lie about what they do when the doors are closed.

I was worried that Warner, Conrad and Baucus would be tapped. I hope Murray and Kerry can rein in Baucus.
