35. This is theft.
This is a shift of the tax burden from the rich to the poorest.

The theft of the Social Security Trust Funds converts the taxes paid by the poorest on their first dollars from a form of saving for retirement to tax cuts for the rich.

This is simply a crime.

The Reagan administration raised the FICA taxes to cover the baby boomers.

And now they are taking the money that was to be used for the baby boomers and converting it to regular tax revenue.

Criminal.

Yet again. I cannot believe this. It is so cruel.

And nobody is telling voters what this really does.

It changes a fair tax system into an extremely regressive one.

And don't forget, the Fed still owns more than 70% of those toxic Mortgage-Backed Securities it acquired in an effort to stabilize the housing market. They were toxic then and they are still toxic now. Knowing that Enron's former lobbyist now works the FR, forces the subject of off-balance-sheet accounting onto the table.

Could it be that the FR is sitting on a pile of worthless assets that are somehow being concealed? If so, this problem could be far worse than anyone knows.

that "entitlements" only pertain to the poor and middle class. The kicker is, we contribute to these entitlements. All the other free money given to undeserving corporations and the wealthy is what exactly? I am so disappointed.
