"...Gov. Christie causes the heads of racists, bigots, and religious wackos all over America to explode by appointing a muslim to NJ's judicial bench, and then giving this applause-worthy explanation/defense of the appointment. This is how (civilized) human beings are supposed to behave...."

1. Kudos to O'Donnel and especially to Christie
Edited on Fri Aug-05-11 07:21 AM by Inuca
Saw it last night and felt like applauding myself, quite amazing. Authentic and non politically motivated "straight talk". Christie has earned my respect with this, no matter what he will do or say from now on. He is in that shrinking group of Rs that you can disagree with but still respect.

11. Agree with the right wing bully part
not so much with the otehr word. My point was simply that I think that he proved to be an honorable man, and that's something admirable even in a political opponent.

2. Doesn't make up for the other crap this big windbag has pulled...

a big fat bully and that's why the Republicans love him. However, we still have many sane people in the state--

TRENTON — In the first poll conducted after the signing of the budget and overhaul of public employee benefits, approval of Gov. Chris Christie's job performance dropped into negative territory, according to a poll released today.

Of those surveyed, 53 percent disapprove of the governor's job performance and 43 percent approve, according to Public Policy Polling, a firm with Democratic clients. The last time PPP asked New Jersey residents what they thought of Christie's job as governor was in January when 48 percent approved and 45 percent disapproved.

NJ Gov. Christie: Teachers are like drug dealers; or, Chris Soprano Goes to Trenton
Tue, 04/20/2010 - 5:50pm — jawbone
Gov. Chris Christie of New Jersy today said New Jersey's teachers are like drug dealers using kids as mules to carry stuff home to parents about, oh, things like upcoming school board elections and school budget public questions.

Not prudent to tell people anything other than what Gov. Christie wants them to know, such as they should vote against school budgets in any districts where teachers' unions have not agreed to wage freezes for one year and paying toward their health insurance going forward. As Christie has repeatedly told NJ voters. No need for negotiations -- what's a contract worth with scum like teachers or drug dealers?

Christie's Helicopter Ride May Crack Cost-Cutter Image
By Elise Young and Terrence Dopp - Jun 2, 2011
Governor Chris Christie’s image as a cost-cutter may have started cracking the moment he boarded a state police helicopter to get to his son’s high-school baseball game, leaving New Jersey with a $2,500 bill.

8. Nice to know that Christie is not a complete asshole.
Recommended. Nice display of courage by Christie, and great of O'Donnell to recognize such.

13. Major props to ODonell and Christie
Gotta say both speech and the ovation made me giddy.

Apropos to nothing ODonnell has some hot interns on his show.
