S & P, and their ilk, should be dismantled, and the criminals infesting them should be indicted and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

AND, when Spitzer mentioned Paul Volker, he could have reminded viewers of the extreme (and VERY questionable) measures Volker had to pursue to keep all of the plates in the air while he was head of the Fed (especially during Reagan's reign of terror). Furthermore, Spitzer could have mentioned Volker's 'prediction' two years back, of a 75% likelihood that our nation would be in a severe economic crisis within five years (!).

One thing Volker says, with which I totally agree, "the only useful banking innovation was the invention of the ATM," should be the starting point for dismantling the 'too-big-to-fail' leeches on our GLOBAL economy.
