A look at where the line in the sand resides for the USD. A look at the dollar on a trade weighted basis and how the USD-Stock Market relationship works. Two different types of defaults are in the works. What the Chinese want might cause a default. What we might do on our own might cause a default.

Our dollars will not buy much for them.

But then, they and other third world countries have the innards of our factories and the industrial capacity that we no longer have. So they are still getting more than they have paid for.

The economist making the video does not deal with the biggest problem we have: our huge trade deficits. It's those deficits that make it impossible for us to resolve our other economic problems. How can we create jobs if we can't make anything to sell to other countries.
