I didn't realize Jane was so cute. :)

She just went through another setback with cancer not long ago. I think she's amazing how calm and cool she was with the call-ins.

I was aware of the cancer and she does look very good for what she has been through.

A caller asks about Sibel Edmond's case. Jane answers by saying, "Sibel worked for the government and is prohibited from talking about it". The host then asks, "Prohibited from talking about what?". Her response?

"Thats a good question. I don't know".

You don't know? Are you a fucking idiot Jane? You are either lying or stupid Jane.

This pisses me off to no end. Here she is thrown a softball that she could have hit out of the park, and she either avoided answering the question or she really didn't know anything at all about the case. I'm not sure which would be worse.

I think you are overreacting to what she said. It seemed pretty sensible.

Sibel has been quite open about the basic facts. She has been unable to discuss specifics.

In short, she has made it clear that high ranking members of the Republican party and defense establishment have been bribed by both the Turkish lobby and the Israeli lobby. I could go on and on about what I know about her case, and I'm just a guy on the Internet on a Saturday night.

Jane has sources and access that I can only dream about, and therefore has no excuse.

If you don't know at least what I just told you about her case, I would suggest doing a Google and reading a bit about it. There are plenty of interviews of Sibel floating around that you could easily find that would help clarify some of this for you. :)

That is the problem, we don't know that. We can read up, as I have, and be fairly knowledgeable....but that was a good way to answer it with all the nutjobs phoning in.

Nah, when one of our own either chokes or obfuscates when asked a question whose answer would appall the most regressive right-winger, we should all just cheer them on as if nothing happened.

You act like she went on C-Span to talk about Sibel Edmonds. Well guess what, she wasn't. She also has not put herself out there as an expert on the subject.

and she is cute, on top of smart, well versed, cool and more.

It takes guts for bloggers to go on there and be subjected to the idiot callers anyway.

sounded like an idiot. She just didn't get drawn into discussing Sibel Edmonds at the time. What she did say was that Sibel Edmonds worked for the government and she knows something but has been forbidden to talk about it. She also said that Edmonds is willing to break her silence if anyone in MSM is willing to air an interview with her. That's a terrific teaser, daring the MSM to pick up on the story. In MSM style it would be: "WHO is Sibel Edmonds and WHAT does she know? Tune in to see the EXCLUSIVE interview of the woman who is breaking her silence to expose all the dirty secrets of the Bush administration" etc. That is, if the MSM weren't such cowards.

Jane was terrific...she stated her position without saying 'wingnuts' or 'repukelicans' once. Loved the way she handled that crazy wingnut caller!

I think she handled it appropriately. It is indeed a very long and tedious story for someone out there listening who doesn't know Sibel Edmonds or for that matter, ever heard of her.

I don't know everything about the Sibel story myself so I might defer on a question like that.

.001% of Americans have heard of Sibel Edmonds, and those of us who have heard of her aren't entirely sure what exactly the details are. The fact that you chose to respond with "Google" isn't exactly a seal of confidence about the facts of the case.

Had this been a republican who answered the same way when asked about Sibel's case, this thread would have all of you screaming about what a hack this person was, and how they were a tool of the MSM.

But when one of our own does this, and gets called out?

That freeper was so typical of the ones we run into on the liberal blogs. Was great she got to demonstrate how a discourse between a sane, rational liberal and a crazed, angry conservative typically goes. She made great points and he, as you said, pounded his chest and threw feces.
