8. Bring your Cameras Iowa
I'm supporting Edwards.

After hearing Brad (Bradblog) on teh radio this morning talking about the shenanigans that have gone on, and may again go on, it seem it will be extremely important to the Democratic process to photograph and videotape as much as possible. Go to Bradblog for more info on this

Good Luck John!

30. Thats a load
The BS on Bradblog is nothing but a bunch of neurotic tripe with no basis in fact or reality. Though most of the anti caucus people aren't really interested in any facts that get in the way of their anti caucus rant.

10. Amazing to me that this video was posted here
and that Frank Lutz is still allowed to do this bullshit.

Step 1: Hire a bunch of shills

Step 2: Ask them leading questions

Step 3: Make a bullshit argument based on stupid responses.

I think we are going to see a lot of people making the "change" tonight. Edwards has the right message, and when it comes down to the people making the right choice, I really believe they will pick Edwards!

13. Without commenting on Edwards' message
I would ask all to keep one thing in mind:

Frank Luntz is a master of the packaged message. His propaganda
efforts were instrumental in both Bush campaigns as well as being
involved in some really nasty dirty tricks in some congressional
campaigns as well. ANY "event" such as the one just staged by Luntz
is suspect, and it is far too late for me to take anything Luntz
puts on seriously, even if he was really playing it straight for once.
By the way, Luntz being straight, except when presenting the RNC with
his bills, occurs about as often as the appearance of Halley's Comet.
Everything he does is staged for effect. He is capable of doing an
event like this in order to promote a Democratic candidate if his
Republican masters fear another (Obama or HRC, for example). This might
not be the case here, but as this is the Luntz M.O., I can't accept it as
genuine--not coming from Luntz. My apologies to Edwards supporters if this
turns out to the genuine article, but as the very concept of authenticity
is foreign to Frank Luntz, it is asking a lot to accept the word of the
most ruthless Republican strategist since Karl Rove, and Rove's IQ probably
pales when compared to that of Frank Luntz. The guy is brilliant, but he
is pure evil. I just have a problem with good news coming from such a source.

17. Because they don't want Obama! Edwards, according to CW
will not do well in NH. Therefore, let him win in Iowa, and then HRC will take over
from there. If Obama wins, then he will have momentum going into NH.

It is the exact same thing Bill is pushing for. He was on Charlie Rose and said, "hey,
look out for Edwards" like he is the sleeper.

35. The CW has been wrong many times before.
New Hampshire voters are practical people. They don't go for B.S. Edwards has a powerful populist style and the integrity to sway NH Democrats in his direction. I wouldn't count him out.

19. If YOU Had Watched Luntz On Christmas Day You Might Have Heard Him
say that he made a choice some time ago that he wanted to work with focus groups from everyone. He said he NO LONGER wanted to limit his voice to Repukes. He admonished several Repukes for nasty remarks they were making, or anyone who was making nasty remarks about ANY candidate! It WAS a different Luntz from the one I've ever seen! I too had many problems with him, especially about 6 years ago, but having watched a great deal of C-Span, where different organizations came together on different occasions, he made a real effort to be very "middle of the road."

On his last appearance they showed quite a few ads from various people, Dem and Repuke and he rated each one evenly. He pointed out what people reacted to, just like he did now. He also showed clips from the debates, showing how the line went up when Clinton said a certain thing, or when Obama said a certain thing. And if I remember correctly he showed one clip of a bomb from Romney, and the clip of McCain when he had that zinger at one of his debates. I know it was about Viet Nam, but forget exactly what was said.

I wasn't going to watch C-Span when he came on, but I was doing something and didn't get in to change the channel. Now I'm glad I did listen to him. I think I was getting food ready to take over to my daughters and my hands were in and out of the water and food most of the time.

So, take it with a grain of salt if you want... but he DID surprise me and I have NEVER liked him!

Great ad for John Edwards anyway... no matter HOW you slice it!!

27. Yes, Frank Luntz is a b@stard who has packaged language for the Repukes in the past, but he's still
a pollster, and runs a mean focus group. That's what he's doing here.

Don't piss on the content just because you hate the MC.

15. Sneaky....
I love how we're all wary of this clip. What's REALLY going on here? We all assume some nefarious secret intent is afoot.... Huh...I wonder why that is?....NOT! Fox News....if it looks like a sneaky conniving duck, and quacks like an underhanded, dirty tricks duck, it's probably Luntz & Fox News.

Perhaps the idea is to show how flip-floppy Dems are, how they're so unsure and undecided. And of course how Hillary can be beaten. And of course to spread the meme that "electability" is all important. More than the issues!....supposedly. Wouldn't want to give Dennis a chance! As if any of the Dem candidate were more unelectable and any of the Repugs.

25. Henry Kissinger told Kerry of Edwards
after Edwards expressed his views on NAFTA at the Bilderberg meeting that Kerry had found his VP.

Believe what you will - it doesn't matter. Whomever becomes POTUS will be whomever the powers-that-be want to be POTUS - period.

Our whole election process, from the primaries to election day is nothing but a big dog and pony show giving people an illusion that we the people have something to say about who leads us. Nothing could be further from the truth.

The same machines counting the votes in Iowa are the same corruptible E-voting machines used in the general election. So, please tell me how any one's vote is going to mean anything?

It makes no difference if HC, BO, JE or any of the repubs become POTUS the powers-that-be will have their man.

29. Good message it's democratic message from day 1 all democratic candidates are for the middle class
Edwards talks about it more that is why everyone gets so excited when he talks that way. But really in my humble opinion and no disrespect to Edwards or his supporters i think he is too nice to win in a general election. remember dick cheney tore him apart in the vp debates several years back. we need someone stronger and able to fight back...i'm still undecided but i'm from Texas and it might not matter what i think come march 4th.

I saw him on CSPAN make fun of NY PUblic library audience that booed his comments about Rove/Cheney and he said that the audience was NOT MAINSTREAM america.. but intead fringe.

well Luntz. you are a dunce.

I'd be careful giving this video too much coverage.. the Republicans are up to no good tricks cause they know they can't rig the hatred of republicans now.

33. ChiciB1 asked a fair question
The answer is no, I didn't see Frank Luntz on Christmas Day. I was
still in Europe, didn't get back stateside until the next day. I am
usually on station overseas, and do not get American TV. It's entirely
possible that I have never seen "C-Span" except unconsciously in some
airport waiting lounge where I couldn't hear the sound anyway, and
therefore paid no attention.

I have also not seen the guy for over a year now, and indeed, the last time
I saw him, his line had changed from his usual smirky "we have you guys
by the balls," to "the political climate in Washington stinks."

But I have sat next to, across from, or near the guy often enough to know
where his allegiance lies--with the money. When the Republican stranglehold
on the government looked like it was going to loosen, his source of income
was going to diminish right along with it if he didn't diversify. So voilà,
instant moderate Frank Luntz. No longer right-wing manipulative genius, but
suddenly now just "noted pollster."

No way, José. He reminds me of the murderer who thinks he'll get a reprieve
from his death sentence if he can show enough authentic remorse.

Maybe Frank Luntz has really and truly undergone a genuine change of heart.

Maybe. I still question how much of a heart he had to change in the first
place.
