and if we hadn't already had 8 years of his administration, with both its achievements and, yes, disappointments, I would be campaigning and voting for him!

Unfortunately, he isn't running for anything, and, even if he was now able to run for the Presidency again, I don't know that I would want him doing it, knowing what I know now... his ideals about global change and interdependencies have hurt the American middle class. And while I care that millions in China and India are doing better than they were 20 years ago, the change was not managed well enough to soften the blow to people like me. I'm sure that his intentions were good... but good intentions can pave the way to economic hell. And while I don't care what he did with his penis (the CLENIS!), his actions in the witch hunt that followed effectively threw Al Gore under the bus. (yeah, I know Al really won... but Al, like all Democrats in this day and age, had to win by a convincing margin, one that couldn't be monkeyed with by Rove and his minions).

So pardon me if I look elsewhere for leadership.

Love Big Dog, but ready for someone else to take the stage.

He was a great Pres. It was sad to see him leave the office after 8 years and then we got stuck with Bush.
