The John Edwards campaign began airing a new 30-second television spot in South Carolina to highlight how Senator Edwards is the only Democratic presidential candidate who will stand up to the drug companies and powerful Washington lobbyists and fight for hard-working middle class families.

2. I feel kind of sorry for John Edwards
He was born in South Carolina, but it looks like he will come in third place on Saturday.

This is in a State that he managed to win back in the Democratic primary 4 years ago.

He also has to convince black voters that he understands their situation better than Obama does.

Edwards seems to be saying that Obama is in the pockets of the corporations.

It's a smear that Obama's campaign has repeatedly and forcefully rebutted.

Edwards also has to convince us all that he can actually deliver results.

It's a problem when he has not a lot of political public service experience.

3. What do you expect?
He aint Black and he aint a Clinton. If he comes out of South Carolina with anything but 3rd place, this whole campaign will be turned on it's head.

5. And that is the rub...
The sad fact is that the majority of people have been subverted by the Corporate Will...glued to their TV's, the only real thoughts they can call their own are the desire for food and even that gets subverted each time they pile into the car and order up a heaping pile of highly processed poison that is advertised as food.

Original Thought: "I'm Hungry..."

Corporate Will: "for Burger King."

The desire for nourishment is replaced by the subverted WANT of the corporate WILL.

Ad-men understand this...they are not trying to subvert you and I, they work the majority, not the minority.

Peace.

8. Voting for Edwards in Calif - But I want John to publically repeat
often that Hilary is dierctly in the pocket of Big Insurance and Drug companies as shown by Michael Moore in his documentary "Sicko." She was the second highest recipient of campaign funds from them in the Senate. No wonder she wants an insurance-based so called Health Care plan. It is not a "health care" plan for people, it is a perpetuation of an obscene profits plan for medical and drug companies. Need to run ads non-stop in the Feb 5th states showing who is contributing to her campaign. And, continue on the theme that she is not a champion of women and working people as demonstrated by her lack of speaking up for them when she was a member of the WalMart Board of Directors. Did she ever present the well-documented data that WalMart workers were paid so little, on purpose, that WalMart managers taught their workers to go to the local County welfare offices to sign up for housing vouchers, food stamps, immunizations and other tax-payer paid benefits? Did she speak out to the WalMart boardmembers in support of allowing unions to organize the poor workers they employ, to get them living wages, health care, maternity and family leave? Did she insist they provide child-care centers at the massive WalMart and Sam's Clubs work sites? Did she speak out against the horrible working conditions of the extremely poor women who are the vast majority of factory workers making products for WalMart in China and other third-world countries?

No, Hilary did not speak-up on any of these issues of vital concern to women and working families! So, when she keeps saying that she has been fighting for these causes for 35 years, challenge her everytime, demand specifics and then remind everyone of the truth about Hilary.

Edwards and Obama should be pounding on the Clintons, Hilary included, who did not lift a finger, raise a voice, organize world opinion and resources to respond forcefully to the known slaughters that killed millions in Rhawanda when the Clintons occupied the White House. Shame, Shame, Shame!

I am a progressive democrat and not a right-wing wacko hater. But, if Clinton were to be elected, we would not get the critical change that is needed for this country and this planet. If she is the democratic nominee, I will hold my nose and vote for her if only to keep the Supreme Court from a more severe right wing surge!
