Dragon NaturallySpeaking 9 Preferred Speech Recognition
I got to try this out at my son's school, they had just installed them two weeks ago. If this works as good at home as the one in school works my son's life will be a little less complicated. He struggles with writing and typing, while he needs to continue working on these things it shouldn't stand in the way of his learning.

1. Please, please do not neglect the typing!
Writing is very important. Typing and revising text on the computer just as fast as I can think is a great freedom. When I'm speaking I can't express myself as well.

My own handwriting is awful and I was never able to adequately learn cursive, something that always caused a great deal of friction with some teachers... I print each letter, and reading other people's handwriting, even perfect handwriting, is difficult for me.

This is almost Martian to me:

But do tell us how it goes, especially if it improves your son's speaking skills.
