Obama Hate In Full Effect

GD is having post after post and response on how Obama could have done x, y, or z with Haiti if we weren't in a war. I find it amazing how much hate GD is boiling over with. I am not responding or, as grantcart suggested, getting sucked in. But damn if GD isn't full of it. It's just so in-your-face it is unavoidable.

He says that Obama is rushing to help Haiti because he wants to please the American blacks--in other words, for politics. Of course if Obama didn't do much, that would get attacked just as much.

Fox are blaming the President for reacting too quickly.

He should have followed Bush's example on Katrina and just sat back and let people suffer.

I vowed I would never again sit and watch people suffer like that without calling the White House and complaining about their lack of action. My husband did call FEMA when he saw several rail cars he recognized as being placarded with explosives placards which were sitting on tracks right next to a building on fire. Took a lot of calls to get to the right person, but the next time they showed that building, the building was still burning, but the rail cars were gone.

I trusted my government to take care of those people in New Orleans. I kept thinking help would arrive any minute, and I'm sure that's what those poor people at the SuperDome were thinking, too. Every time I think about it, tears come to my eyes all over again.

Know we have to deal with a broken government. I applaud those who are working so hard to fix it. They face opposition at every stride.We are fighting together to restore goodness and a conscientious social network.

Luckily I was not around back in 2004 because I had just spent a year volunteering for the man and was still on an Obama high because we had lost the presidency but at least had won the state. After four years of bush we were grasping at straws and Obama did give us hope for the future. And trust me, people here needed someone to give them hope.
