First time in this group.

I have been pretty disillusioned in the "Latest and Greatest" forums, which is mainly where I have gone since joining,due to constant anti-obama threads and posts. This group was recommended to me..... where discussions/debates on Obama's presidential decisions are talked about without the mind-bending vitriol.

I think it's the invasion of the body snatchers around here. It's one thing to dislike this or that policy, but to seek and destroy, wow that's a whole other level of nasty.

The BOG was recommended to me today. I didn't even know it existed - but I'm sure glad it does. I am beyond tired of the carping, sniping, and downright insulting hacks that claim the title of the "loyal opposition" here. I am a life long Democrat and I have voted for Democrats and Democratic principles since I got my voter registration card back in the dark days of the Vietnam war. The party is far from perfect but it is the only realistic alternative to the increasingly intolerant and dangerous republican Reich.

BTW, I live in Idaho, the most bigoted, conservative, republican run state in the union. If I want to hear people bash the President, all I have to do is walk outside my front door.

Back when U first moved to NH, we're talking Jimmy Carter, this state was so republican it blew me away. Politicians--all, TV--totally pre-Foxed, Fox, Newspapers-all unfettered conservative bias.

Times have changed....we now have a strong democratic party here. Though I think we are going to lose 1 House seat, and the open Senate seat.

Does your name indicate a resident of the great state of Connecticut? If so, maybe you can convince my brothers, who live there, to quit harping to me about the Giants upset in the Super Bowl. ;-)
