Steve Benen on Rachel with Chris Hayes talking about the Ensign Scandal..
"ON THE TEEVEE.... We talked on Friday about a curious set of circumstances: Rep. Charlie Rangel's (D-N.Y.) ethics controversy is generating considerable attention, while Sen. John Ensign's (R-Nev.) criminal investigation is largely ignored, despite a series of recent developments. It's curious, isn't it?

I had a chance to chat with Chris Hayes about this on "The Rachel Maddow Show" on Friday night. Here's the segment:

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

A few things to note. First, none of you will be able to make fun of the fake-book backdrop this time. So there.

Second, I don't look quite this pale in real life, but between the lighting and the makeup, I'm afraid I looked like I was ready for an episode of "True Blood." Reports of my vampirism have been greatly exaggerated.

Third, saying "IOKIYAR" out loud on the air turns out to be slightly more difficult than I anticipated.

And fourth, I mistakenly referred to Sen. David Vitter (R-La.) "recently" having been caught with prostitutes. That's incorrect -- what I meant to say was in "recent years," but I misspoke."

I posted on Steve's comment section that I didn't think he looked like a vampire at all!

It was the same with Eric Massa..the corporatemediaWHORES and all others who try to bring down the Dems were drooling over Massa and trying to blame it on the President and they were left looking like the idiots they are.

1. Thanks Cha
We need to be loud about Republican scandals, because the M$M will be as silent as possible!

3. I've been impressed with his reporting for a while now
but this is the first time I've seen him speak and he brings those blogs to life beautifully.

Of course, he's ignored by those who only are interesteed in propaganda..it's our job to help intrepid reporters like Steve Benen. :)

5. Good catch, Cha.
Thank goodness someone in the media gives due attention to the RW scandals, too bad that by far most of them go on a feeding frenzy when a Democrat screws up, or they trump up charges when there's nothing there.

7. It was a Twofer..
The tv brought Steve Benen, one of my favorite pragmatic bloggers, to life. :bounce::patriot: :fistbump:

And, he talked about one of his favorite rhetorical mysteries..Why isn't the corporatemedia blaring about the John Ensign Affair Scandal?

9. I have always like Benen, he is one of my faves.
It was also nice to see what he looks like...I had to go look up his age. He is only 3 years older then me, I had no idea. When I read him he always seemed so much older.

10. As usual, Benen sums it up brilliantly. The media is dying for a split
government. It makes for much more exciting reporting. The M$M doesn't have the American people's best interests at heart, and it never did. Thanks for posting.
