I get it now!
Edited on Sat Dec-26-09 11:21 AM by RFKHumphreyObama
When Obama works with Republicans he's an eeeeeevil corporate sellout DLC corporate shill

When Jane Hamsher works with Grover Norquist, it's perfectly OK to work together for the common good

Also apparently it's OK for some Jane Hamsher to work with Grover Norquist to target Obama because sometimes you have to form alliances with evil people, just like FDR did with Stalin in WWII

Because the circumstances now are just the same as in WWII -I mean Obama being another Hitler and all that:sarcasm: :sarcasm: :eyes:

21. It's a shame that this is the goal but it is obvious that it is.
On the home page right now is a story so full of crap and fantasy that The Brothers Grimm couldn't have imagined anything better.

And yet, because 1) it is in GD and 2) slams the President, it's getting the obligatory 125-150 recs that every anti-Obama post gets there (although some particularly stupid OPs in GD have gotten over 200 recs) never mind the fact that it is so deranged that it has lead one poster to actually ask "is it possible that he (Obama) is the anti-Christ?"

4. No kidding
The "center" is more evil than the extremes to these people.

They are just bitter misanthropes.

8. Obama is getting his agenda through and Rahm is helping.
Classic method of taking down a President. Start trying to pick off his effective staffers, one by one until he is weakened to the point where he can no longer put forth his agenda.

Norquist's motives are patently obvious

Hamsher's motives are also extremely obvious (she wants to defeat healthcare reform). You might argue that she wants the reform to be more liberal, but if this reform is shot down and Rahm is weakened, there will be no reform. So I will not apologize for stating that she is against healthcare reform. Period.

In fact, I think he should mail each of them a dead fish and a drawing of a middle finger.

who they all didn't want President Obama to reach out to.

Hypocrites to left and hypocrites on the right and Pres Obama is in the middle with laser focus.

9. Indeed! And here's another dose of irony, in a pair of current threads..
LBN: "Generics cos in the cold as big pharma has its way in US", in which some are bashing the President for kowtowing to the Big-Pharmsters, by increasing the use of brand name drugs..

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=102&topic_id=4198947&mesg_id=4198947

GD: " My new "generic" doesn't work, I've been up all night, and Wellpoint won't pay for the real thing", in which some are bashing the HCR legislation for forcing them to use generics..

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=389&topic_id=7320590&mesg_id=7320590

Sometimes, you just have to laugh at this Bizzaro-World state of being.

The hate and anger is way beyond what should be acceptable behavior but that is just my opinion.

Evidently the Mods must believe that it is OK with DU ~I rarely see any post removed when the rules are broken.

Have I been missing something?

15. My problem in this case- there's nothing to investigate that hasn't been. This is purely a rightwing
witchhunt.

And Norquist has a longggg history of using dupes to sow dissent within the Democratic party.

16. What you say is sad
but true.

I'm 60, and grew up in a strong Democratic/union family, and I've never seen anything like what I've seen in the first year of this Democratic administration. Criticism is perfectly reasonable, but the current level of vitriol goes way beyond mere criticism.

20. Hell, Obama isn't even supposed to work with freakin' Democrats
much less anybody else. He was supposed to wave a magic wand and make every Dem a liberal Dem and make all the republicans go *poof* apparently. He was supposed to write every damned bill and ram the liberal agenda through both houses faster than a speeding bullet.

And they think *we're* delusional.
