1. I knew there was a reason I logged on..thanks Maverick..
No one defends him on the corporatemedia..that's understood but this article illustrates what I think is going on and how I feel about him.

And, thankfully we have the BOG now so the clutter is gone.

4. That was part of the article I had posted in reference to the what Michelle O said
about the Lincoln bedroom.

Some folks would poo-poo Noonan (who I can't personally stand),
but the article has the people interviewed in it speak for themselves,
and therefore the only thing that she did was to locate those voices; folks who
actually work with the President and know him. Considering that he's everyone's
whipping boy at the moment, such candid views are good reading.

5. I read the article and remembered how I felt about him
way back in 2004, and I am not saying I worked that or was that close to him. You could say anything you wanted to him, he didn't argue, he just explained his stance on it and discussed why he felt that way while listening to your point of view. I didn't see him as a messiah or as a perfect human being, I'm not very good at seeing anyone like that. But I did trust him and one reason for that was because he was calm, thoughtful, and always in control of himself and those around him.

The first time he came to our area, I had just started volunteering, and the young man over the campaign office there made arrangements to have Barack speak on the Court house lawn in my old home town. I knew this was a bad mistake but was willing to go there to support him, unfortunately I had car problems and could not make it. It was a bad mistake!!!

1. the town is still pretty racist!
2. The court house is circled by the main street in the town.
3. The rally was set to take place during the afternoon rush hour, lots of traffic, lots of noise.
4. There was a reason it was my ex home town.

The next time I saw the young man I asked him how the rally went. He shook his head and looked disturbed. "There was not many supporters showed up. You couldn't hear Barack over the traffic noise and I never thought people would act like that/scream things like that at him." he told me. I asked him how Obama had taken it. "He didn't say much, he just stayed calm and said that you had to expect things like that to happen." Well, I thought that would be the end of the Barack's visits. After all, we are the southern part of the state and Chicago carries the state as far as votes go. But it wasn't long before Barack was back, not because he needed us but because he wanted to represent us as much as he did the north. He is not perfect but he is so much better than what we had for the last eight years. I am giving him time and a break and hoping that he proves me right in still trusting him.
