I actually knew Robert Zoellick's mother, along with his older brother, and Robert himself.

I did much of my growing up in Naperville, Illinois, and lived there most of the 1960's. The Zoellicks lived half a block from where I lived.

I remember Naperville was (and still is) very Repuglican; a lot of people were strongly for Barry Goldwater in 1964.

Robert was 3 years younger than I was, and his older brother was a year ahead of me. They both did very well at school, and were honor students. Their mother was very proud of her boys and their accomplishments.

Robert Zoellick has obviously gotten himself involved with a very bad crowd of people; that is the least that can be said about him. (Unfortunately I don't think his mother would disapprove ot his present crowd.)
