I'm planning on joining the Iraqi security forces.

Should I sign up for the 15 year training program, or should I fast-track it and do the 12 year program?

4. son of a friend just returned, tour 3, to train Iraqi security forces.

Tell him hi for me. He's the one I posted about before that doesn't believe in the occupation anymore, but doesn't want to desert "his" men, so went back for tour 3. He said he thinks he will die there this time.

On edit: I'm sorry if my post was insensitive to your situation. I'd just flipped to CSPAN for a second and some guy was talking about training the Iraqi security forces. This triggered the "we've been there five fucking years, how fucking long does it take to train the goddamn security forces?" line of thought.

8. If I remember right, the budget for training Iraqi Security Forces hasn't

been added to this year's request. The program has been shut down.

The guy talking about it on CSpan must not have got the memo.
