1. They forgot Meatball!!!
"A guerrilla marketing campaign for a cartoon show about a box of french fries and his milkshake pal set off a scare that nearly shut down Boston's commercial district yesterday, as bomb squads closed highways and two bridges in search of what turned out to be magnetic-light versions of the cartoon characters."

They forgot about the character Meatball. He was my favorite one.

God, I miss the Cartoon Network.

2. they've f*cked themselves for sure to the judge
assigned to their hearing... whomever he/she may be.

Personally, I think they should have refrained from that gleeful performance. Having been discharged from a commuter buss due to a "terra" alert in NYC (Port Authority), this shit isn't too f*cking funny.

4. Meh.
They probably suspect the judge will throw out the case and they've got a lawsuit against the city for unlawful arrest.

6. I wonder how much these guys earned in their 15 minutes.
I'll bet it wasn't nearly as much as their corporate masters.

7. I wonder if anyone realizes that not all people watch the Cartoon Channel
and find it a joke to see a lighted figure with a "Fuck You" stuck to the underside of a bridge, a telephone pole or whever the hell else these things were placed. The whole world doesn't revolve around the "Kewl Kids" who are so hip and in the know about "lite Brites" and whatever "Aqua Swim" is.

The disruption of a whole city for a Marketing Gag (that only Kewl Kids thought funny) might be a joke to some but not to millions of others out there who don't appreciate a "Fuck You" placed around their city.

9. But... why is it that, of the 10 major cities in which the things were placed...
and had been sitting for weeks... this turned into such an event?

Seattle, Chicago, New York... I am sure none "appreciated" it, but... for crying out loud, they didn't call the bomb squad, shut down the city, cause a panic and turn it into a freaking "terra" attack. Right??

I mean, yeah... this company and these kids were dumb... but the response to it was FAR more so.

8. I have trouble laughing at corporate vandalism
These guys get arrested while their corporate puppeteers laugh at them. I can just hear the suits now: "Now we'll tell them to laugh at the authorities. That will get them jail time for sure. And more free publicity for our show, which we can sell commercials for to the highest bidder, while those stupid a-holes rot!"

Yep, those guys really got one over on "The Man" today!

13. It was an advertising campaign, not vandalism.

I sure wish I could own one of these!

Shame on Boston's Mayor and other City Officials. When faced with the cold hard facts that ten other cities had theses lite-brite cartoon characters posted throughout their cities, and somehow, didn't act like scared little morAns before doing an initial investigation, these officals were embarrassed but instead, feigned anger.

While all the other people within these major US Cities laugh at what inept officials you have because they just can stop their self-righteous pontificating, and the absurdity to blame some "dudes" who are merely posting these lite-brites like scores of other young adults. Bravo! The more these Boston Officials whine and cast blame, the more our entire nation looks stupid in the eyes of the world community.

Even the judge didn't consider it a "master plan" especially by these two goof-ball young adults.

14. Boston:
1) Banned Books

2) Up in arms in the 1960 over busing black kids to white schools

3) Made the Redcoats mad and started the Revolutionary War

4) Hanged Quakers

What can you expect, it's bred in the bone.

17. These legal press conferences are always a dog and pony show
The press knows the people can't talk about the case. So asking them questions is just stupid. These guys responded perfectly. They met stupidity with stupidity.
