Ingraham-what a wench!
http://www.talkingpointsmemo.com/archives/014422.php

Maybe I've let my subscription lapse on Far-Right Talking Points Weekly, but at what point did conservatives decide that the word "outspoken" is insulting?

Crooks & Liars posted a surprising video from CNN in which conservative talk-show host Laura Ingraham shared her thoughts on the president's immigration policy (she doesn't like it). Before a commercial break CNN's John Roberts told viewers, "Will the new immigration reform bill fix the problem? We'll ask the outspoken Laura Ingraham about that next."

Apparently, that's no longer acceptable in conservative circles.

INGRAHAM: By the way, John, how did you introduce me for this segment before the break. The outspoken Laura Ingraham. Do you guys introduce liberal commentators that way? I'm going to check.

ROBERTS: Yeah, we do actually.

INGRAHAM: OK, I'm going to check that.

ROBERTS: Are you denying that you're outspoken Laura?

INGRAHAM: No, why would you say that?

ROBERTS: I just think that we're appropriately characterizing you.... You're definitely outspoken. You were outspoken about immigration on Wednesday's show.

INGRAHAM: How about radio talk show host and author. That's quite effective.

How does one know that conservative political correctness has gone over the edge? When "outspoken" becomes a point of contention.

Post Script: For what it's worth, Michael Medved and Fox News' Chris Wallace described Ingraham the same way, and she didn't seem to mind.

3. "scholarly" What a joke! And Bay Buchanan said she had
researched a psychiatric term and diagnosis for several days before tyring to apply it to HRC.

These people are so unimpressive.

2. She is setting a tone by intimidating the host.
She has nothing but lies, so she is taking up time and pushing false outrage (typical for these far right RNC mouthpieces).

But, I think this is a lesson on how easy it is to take control away from the news whores.

Describing this as "conservative political correctness", since the whole PC concept and the forging of PC into a hammer used to beat down civility and inclusiveness in favor of bigotry and division is a far right concept.

6. Should have called her
"faggot" or "nappy headed ho." These are terms acceptable to the far right bigots.

or perhaps the reporter could call her "son of a bitch" as the Fox News reporter did to a black city councilman yesterday.

5. Because we all know what "outspoken" is *really* a code word for, don't we?
Yes, you know exactly what they were alluding to when they called her "outspoken." That she's, you know, one of them, those "outspoken" types. They may have said "outspoken" but you can easily figure out what they really meant by that, can't you?

Actually, outspoken isn't a code word for anything except "opinionated." But it could be that Republicans, being so well versed in codespeak, just are really sensitive to that same type of stealth smear being used against them. Psych 1301 teaches us that people always attack on the front they most fear being attacked on themselves.

Yep, you know exactly what I'm saying. She's one of them. Wink, wink.

8. a conservative scorned
I saw that interview, it was a bit of narcissism, Roberts set her straight, he told her this discussion wasn't about her, rather the betrayal conservatives felt at Bush's admonishment, look the crescendo has been mounting on this subject for a while, though I don't embrace him, Bush has chided his base to speak of this issue with dignity and forbearance. Unfortunately for him, there's a bit of verbal gluttony among these people it would seem,

I saw an amazing interview with Buchanan, Xeno, Emperor of the American Universe, whereas he connected the TB case with Illegals; in Pat's estimation, illegals bring in "diseases" to the US, hence, the unfortunate case of that poor Atlanta lawyer, clearly clean scrubbed, and dewy skinned, contracting a terrible illness.

Hmmmm, I seem to remember from my sixth grade social studies class, how those "dirty nasty" portequese, spanish, and italian seamen brought small pox, and other delightful diseases to the Natives, the true Natives of this country,

Indeed, Pat is correct it would appear, only he's a bit intellectually lazy, afterall, all those "HISPANICS" wouldn't have been speaking spanish in the first place if the filthy europeans had stayed at home.

Poor, poor Laura, she's forelorn and rejected; in her own words, "after all we conservatives did to get Bush re-elected in 2004, this is how he treats his base".

To the victor, goes the spoils, and to the spoilers?

We don't need the victor.

Regards
Pace
