The bigger question in Plamegate. Why? Why?

proof from a fed. agency was presented that no WMDs were present, their case would not have been as strong. Just a wild guess?

involving Halliburton, AQ Khan, etc. that he didn't want exposed. He was the Master Proliferator in the old days. B-J was finding out too much.

Why did he go this extra step? Did he know what he was doing? Was he told to? Was it inadvertant? The consensus seems to be that horrible damage was the result of it.

This is part 1, but Mark is weaving a very tight story on the significance of the Plame outing....I think it had more to do with her undercover work with Brewster Jennings than political revenge against Wilson's NYT OP/ED piece. If so, this becomes a huge story...we'd be talking treason here. And Dick Cheney is prime mover

More questions - did someone like Novak know what the CIA fallout would be? How about Miller? Russert?
Did Libby, Rove, and Bush know?
Did Cheney and Bush discuss this 'leak' and the ultimate damage?
