Why can't we be more disciplined like the freepers and all speak with one voice? Some of us lament disproportional attention to white victims of crime while others of us defend Paris Hilton. This diversity of opinion must not stand, I tell you!

By the way, just how many DUers are actually saying Paris Hilton shouldn't be punished for breaking the law? I've read several threads here and the only arguments I've seen are about the coverage of her, or what type of punishment is appropriate, not whether she should have been punished. Can you please point out to me any examples of people actually defending her?

Now maybe someone in that mix said "don't punish her" but I've read about ten threads right through and I saw no one saying that. I'm only asking you to cite or link to one example of the thing you're complaining about.

A lot of people are saying "don't pay attention" and others are saying "Oh my God, did you see the latest on this case?". No one I've read is saying she was in the right.

This is third time I've asked you do this. If you got nothing, just say so. Even one example. Really.

Eveb if there's a few pro-Hilton comments out there, I'm telling you that overwhelming majority are either in favor of her being punished in some way or in favor of this shit not being on the news. I honestly have not read one post that said she shoudn't be punished.

I NEVER said she shouldn't suffer any consequences. I have only said I don't believe in jail time for non-violent offenders. I don't. I LOVE community service. Unlike some, my principles go across the board, including for those I don't like.
